Work Place Protocol

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has issued a protocol on Work place Response for Covid 19. The details of the protocol recommends some administrative and legal measures on clause 4 namely a) freezing salary increments for 12 months, b) suspending fringe benefits, allowances, bonuses and commissions until the problem is fully averted, and c) allow employees use their unused annual leave, including at least half of their annual leave from the upcoming budget year. The protocol is a recommendation worth applying though it is not a law in the strict sense of the term.
